CANADA STOCKS-Toronto stocks open lower as energy shares fall

Jan 30 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened modestly lower on Tuesday as energy shares were pulled down by lower oil prices, offsetting a rebound in gold producers.

Shortly after the opening bell, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was down 65.57 points, or 0.41 percent, at 16,029.15.
