ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) _ GlycoMimetics Inc. (GLYC) on Tuesday reported a loss of $9.3 million in its fourth quarter.
The Rockville, Maryland-based company said it had a loss of 27 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 26 cents per share.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $33.3 million, or $1.13 per share.
GlycoMimetics shares have risen 36 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than tripled in the last 12 months.
