Myers reports 4Q loss

AKRON, Ohio (AP) _ Myers Industries Inc. (MYE) on Tuesday reported a loss of $18.3 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Akron, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 59 cents. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations and non-recurring costs, came to 9 cents per share.

The maker of plastic products posted revenue of $140.1 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $9.9 million, or 33 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $547 million.

Myers shares have climbed slightly more than 1 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 43 percent in the last 12 months.
