BOJ has ample tools for smooth exit -deputy gov nominee Amamiya

TOKYO, March 7 (Reuters) - Bank of Japan deputy governor nominee Masayoshi Amamiya said on Wednesday that the central bank has ample tools to engineer a smooth exit from its monetary stimulus when the appropriate time comes.

Amamiya told a confirmation hearing in parliament's upper house that how and in what combination the BOJ will use its policy tools will depend on economic and price conditions at the time. (Reporting by Leika Kihara and Tetsushi Kajimoto; Editing by Chris Gallagher)
