Transglobe reports 4Q loss

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Transglobe Energy Corp. (TGA) on Wednesday reported a loss of $2.4 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had a loss of 3 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 8 cents per share.

The oil and gas company posted revenue of $73 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $78.7 million, or $1.09 per share. Revenue was reported as $252.6 million.

The company's shares closed at $1.28. A year ago, they were trading at $1.59.
