Brazil not yet mulling retaliation against U.S. tariffs -finmin

NEW YORK, March 8 (Reuters) - Brazil has not yet reached the point of thinking of potential retaliation to U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to slap tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, Finance Minister Henrique Meirelles said on Thursday.

In a roundtable with reporters in New York, Meirelles said that a swing toward protectionism will not help anyone, particularly U.S. industry or consumers set to face higher prices as a result of the potential tariffs.
