BioScrip reports 4Q loss

DENVER (AP) _ BioScrip Inc. (BIOS) on Thursday reported a loss of $19.4 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Denver-based company said it had a loss of 18 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 15 cents per share.

The infusion and home care services company posted revenue of $217.8 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $171.8 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $62.6 million, or 59 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $817.2 million.

BioScrip expects a full-year loss of 41 cents to 34 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $710 million to $720 million.

The company's shares closed at $3.08. A year ago, they were trading at $2.01.
