WILDWOOD, Mo. (AP) _ Peak Resorts Inc. (SKIS) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $9.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the Wildwood, Missouri-based company said it had net income of 53 cents. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs, were 59 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 54 cents per share.
The ski resort owner posted revenue of $59.3 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $59.7 million.
Peak Resorts shares have fallen roughly 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $5.10, a decline of 16 percent in the last 12 months.
