CHICAGO (AP) _ Oil-Dri Corp. of America (ODC) on Friday reported a fiscal second-quarter loss of $1.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Chicago-based company said it had a loss of 15 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax expenses, were 54 cents per share.
The maker of products for soil in the agriculture, horticulture and sports sectors posted revenue of $68.9 million in the period.
Oil-Dri shares have dropped 11 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Friday, shares hit $37.14, a climb of slightly more than 7 percent in the last 12 months.
