BETHESDA, Md. (AP) _ TerraForm Power Inc. (TERP) on Thursday reported a loss of $113 million in its fourth quarter.
The Bethesda, Maryland-based company said it had a loss of 82 cents per share. Losses, adjusted to extinguish debt and for costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 14 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 48 cents per share.
The owner of clean power assets posted revenue of $135.5 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $122.6 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $164.2 million, or $1.65 per share. Revenue was reported as $610.5 million.
TerraForm Power shares have fallen nearly 1 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 2 percent in the last 12 months.
