InnerWorkings misses 4Q profit forecasts

CHICAGO (AP) _ InnerWorkings Inc. (INWK) on Monday reported fourth-quarter profit of $1.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had profit of 3 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 6 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 13 cents per share.

The company that provides and manages marketing supplies for businesses posted revenue of $301 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $19 million, or 35 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.14 billion.

InnerWorkings expects full-year earnings in the range of 56 cents to 59 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $1.2 billion to $1.23 billion.

InnerWorkings shares have decreased roughly 4 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $9.66, a rise of slightly more than 3 percent in the last 12 months.
