Daniel H. Stern is founder and co-CEO of Reservoir Capital Group. Reservoir invests opportunistically in both the public and private equity and debt markets, as well as in partnership with investment teams through the creation of hedge funds and private equity funds in which the Reservoir funds are an owner.
Stern has participated in the formation and development of numerous investment management entities, including HBK Investments, Och-Ziff Capital Management, Starwood Capital, Ellington Capital Management and Anchorage Capital, among others.
Prior to Reservoir, Stern co-founded and served as president of Ziff Brothers Investments from 1992 to 1997. He previously served as managing director of William A.M. Burden & Co. and as an associate at Bass Brothers Enterprises in Fort Worth, Texas.
Stern is president of the Lincoln Center Film Society and serves as a trustee of the Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Educational Broadcasting Corporation (PBS Channel 13). In addition, he is a trustee of the Standards Board for Alternative Investments in London.
Stern received an AB from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
