CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on banks, energy shares

March 14 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose on Wednesday, boosted by the heavy-weight financial sector and as shares of energy companies were lifted by higher oil prices.

* Shortly after the opening bell, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 35.73 points, or 0.23 percent, at 15,682.87.
