How the Business Reporting Workshop Could Lead to a Camera Test at CNBC

Business journalists are committed to presenting deeply sourced and up-to-the-minute stories that affect markets and business in real time, providing context for the audience and delivering content across multiple platforms.

This summer, the CNBC Business Reporting Workshop will provide experienced journalists with an opportunity to expand their reporting skills and engage with CNBC talent and producers.

Some workshop attendees may be selected at the end of the workshop for an opportunity to visit CNBC Global Headquarters for a camera test and interviews with members of CNBC's executive team.

What should I expect at the workshop?

  • An interactive session designed to teach journalists how to quickly uncover, identify and critically assess the most impactful information in a financial news story and clearly deliver that story on camera for sophisticated audience.
  • Conversations with CNBC professionals to identify the most effective tools to improve storytelling.

When and where is the workshop?
This workshop will take place on August 2 at the 2019 AAJA National Convention in Atlanta, Georgia.

Who should apply?
Interested candidates must apply to be invited to attend the workshop. The workshop is targeted toward current on-air reporters or multimedia journalists with 3-5 years of professional experience. Applicants must be registered, or plan to register, for the 2019 AAJA National Convention in Atlanta, GA. (Registration subject to verification).
