Before coming to CNBC in April 2017, he spent seven years at Bloomberg News, most recently as executive editor running all M&A, private equity, IPO and shareholder activist coverage. He was a regular on Bloomberg TV and radio, mostly to discuss breaking M&A news.
Before coming to Bloomberg, he spent six years at the Wall Street Journal in Detroit and New York. He covered the auto industry, big corporate bankruptcies and then was lead M&A reporter at the Journal.
Jeff is a native of Royal Oak, Michigan. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Wayne State University and a law degree from Wayne State as well. He now lives in New York state with his wife, three kids and two dogs.
