NEW YORK (AP) _ Apollo Investment Corp. (AINV) on Friday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $20.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had net income of 10 cents. Earnings, adjusted for investment costs, were 15 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 16 cents per share.
The investment company posted revenue of $61.5 million in the period, which also missed Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $63.7 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $87 million, or 40 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $259.3 million.
Apollo Investment shares have dropped slightly since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 11 percent in the last 12 months.
