Pence joins chorus: Fed should consider rate cuts

WASHINGTON, May 3 (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said on Friday the Federal Reserve should consider cutting interest rates given the low level of inflation in the economy, joining President Donald Trump and a top White House adviser in pressuring the central bank on monetary policy.

"There isn't any inflation in the economy right now," Pence said in an interview with CNBC. (Reporting by Susan Heavey; Writing by Tim Ahmann)
