Italy economy minister sees basis for EU budget deal - Ansa

MILAN, June 27 (Reuters) - The Italian government is bringing its budget policy in line with European Union rules, Economy Minister Giovanni Tria said on Thursday, adding that the basis for striking a deal to avoid EU disciplinary action had been established.

"We are adopting measures that bring us substantially in line," ANSA news agency quoted Tria as saying in Osaka where he was attending a G20 summit. "The basis (for a deal) is there." (Reporting by Mark Bendeich Editing by Alessia Pe)
