Philippines inflation slows to 2.7% in June

MANILA, July 5 (Reuters) - Philippine annual inflation was 2.7% in June, slowing from the previous month's 3.2%, the statistics agency said on Friday, due to lower food and fuel prices.

Economists in a Reuters poll had expected an inflation rate of 2.9% in June, which was within the central bank's 2.2%-3.0% forecast for that month. (Reporting by Karen Lema and Neil Jerome Morales; Editing by Subhranshu Sahu)
