MILAN, July 5 (Reuters) - Italian infrastructure group Atlantia is free to join the rescue of national airline Alitalia but it won't earn a reprieve on threats to its motorway concession as a result, Deputy Prime Minister Luigi Di Maio said on Friday.
Di Maio is pushing the ruling coalition to revoke Atlantia's national toll-road concession, blaming the company for a bridge collapse last year that killed 43 people. There has been speculation that he could drop the threat to revoke the concession if Atlantia helps rescue Alitalia.
"The important thing is that ... there will be no exchange on the table over the motorway concessions," he told reporters. (Reporting by Stephen Jewkes Editing by Mark Bendeich)
