President Donald Trump on Monday is expected to present the Medal of Valor to six officers who stopped the gunman in a mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio, last month, multiple outlets reported.

The shooting, which took place in a district known for its nightlife, left nine people dead and dozens injured.

The police officers, who were already in the area, reportedly responded less than a minute after the gunman began shooting. They killed the shooter, who was identified as a 24-year-old white male who was wearing body armor and carrying multiple magazines of ammunition with him.

That attack came just hours after a separate shooter opened fire in a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, killing 22.
