United Launch Alliance wins $1.2 bln U.S. defense contract -Pentagon

WASHINGTON, Sept 30 (Reuters) - United Launch Alliance, a joint venture of Lockheed Martin Corp and Boeing Co , has been awarded a $1.2 billion U.S. defense contract for satellite launch services, Pentagon said on Monday.

The Air Force award is for five extra missions under its Delta IV Heavy rocket contract to launch spy satellites for the National Reconnaissance Office, the Pentagon said. (Reporting by Eric Beech and Joey Roulette; editing by Jonathan Oatis)
