UAW board moves to expel former union president Gary Jones

Nov 20 (Reuters) - The United Auto Workers (UAW) union on Wednesday said its executive board had filed charges to remove union president Gary Jones, who has been tied to an ongoing corruption probe by U.S. federal officials.

The UAW's move comes more than two weeks after Jones took leave of absence. Bruce Maffeo, an attorney for Jones, could not immediately be reached for comment. (Reporting by Soundarya J in Bengaluru; Editing by Arun Koyyur)
