Taiwan expects short-term coronavirus impact on exports

TAIPEI, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Taiwan's exports in the first quarter will be affected by China's coronavirus outbreak, but the impact will be short-term and the outlook for the whole year is not too bad, Finance Ministry official Beatrice Tsai said on Friday.

February exports are "difficult" to estimate owing to a lack of clarity about when people in China will be permitted to return to work, Tsai added. (Reporting by Roger Tung Writing by Ben Blanchard Editing by David Goodman)
