China's Nanjing to give out vouchers to to spur consumption amid epidemic - paper

BEIJING, March 13 (Reuters) - China's eastern city of Nanjing will give out 318 million yuan ($45 million) in vouchers to its citizens to spur spending hit by the coronavirus epidemic, according to a report from the Nanjing Daily, a local state-owned paper.

The vouchers, intended to help the service sector, hit hard by the epidemic, can be used for purchases in catering, sports and rural tourism among other sectors, the report said. ($1 = 6.9897 Chinese yuan renminbi) (Reporting by Colin Qian and Gabriel Crossley; Editing by Kevin Liffey)
