PARIS, March 16 (Reuters) - French airports group ADP said on Monday that it would be considering closing down some areas in its main Paris airports to deal with the coronavirus outbreak, and added it was expecting a major financial hit due to the virus.
ADP said it would consider closing down some boarding areas at Paris' Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, as well as a complete closure of its airports in Jordan, Macedonia and Latvia.
ADP added it had carried out an analysis on the hit to its business from the coronavirus. On the basis of an assumption of a 25% drop in traffic at Paris between March and June, it was forecasting an EBITDA loss of around 190 million euros ($212 million).
It would also carry out a cost-savings plan to try and cut operating expenses by 180 million euros for 2020.
