Virus accelerates the digital transformation, benefiting these stocks the most, William Blair says

Technological advancement was chugging along during the past decade, but the coronavirus crisis expedited some aspects of the digital progress, according to William Blair. 

The Wall Street firm said companies in the internet space are poised to benefit from this faster-than-expected adoption of certain technologies during the pandemic. 

"Across the many industry verticals covered within the internet space, the majority of management teams felt the coronavirus was likely to drive acceleration in the overall shift from offline to online-first technologies," William Blair technology analyst Bhavan Suri said in a note to clients.
