Grow America's Financial Education, on CNBC.com Wednesday, October 13 at 1pm ET.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, U.S. Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel Cardona will join CNBC Senior Personal Finance Correspondent Sharon Epperson for a conversation with America addressing the current state of financial education, its impact on growth opportunities for the Hispanic community, and how it can lead to economic equality and equity.
Following the conversation with Secretary Cardona, Epperson will lead a panel discussion around the long-term benefits of financial empowerment and the necessary strategies to implement change and expand financial inclusion through quality financial education in America's schools. Panelists include: Yanely Espinal, NextGen Personal Finance Director of Educational Outreach; Rhode Island State Senator Sandra Cano (D); Dr. Wendy De La Rosa, Behavioral Scientist and Assistant Professor, Wharton School at UPenn; and Marietta Rodriquez, NeighborWorks America President and CEO.
