Goldman Sachs says these 6 energy stocks still have plenty of room to run

Analysts at Goldman Sachs have named six energy stocks that could see even further upside in the months ahead. All are rated buy by the investment bank. Oil prices have been on a tear this year, soaring above $80 a barrel over the last few weeks — the highest level in seven years , as buoyant post-pandemic demand outstripped supply. While oil prices have since pared some of their gains, both international benchmark Brent crude futures and West Texas Intermediate crude futures are still up more than 50% in 2021. Looking ahead, Goldman expects Brent futures to be well-supported at $80 a barrel into 2023 and to settle at $70 a barrel over the long term once prevailing near-term volatility subsides, the analysts, led by Neil Mehta, said on Nov. 16.
