Companies are beating earnings estimates again this reporting season, but investors don't care

Fourth-quarter earnings reporting season has continued to see plenty of earnings beats – with three out of every four companies still beating earnings and revenue estimates.

But as the season hits the halfway point on Thursday, it's the forward-looking tone that's dictating the trader reaction.
