What I am looking at Feb. 4, 2022 Club holding Amazon saved by AWS? FANG winners during this treacherous earnings season were Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOGL), and Amazon due to their fast-growing cloud businesses ... meanwhile Netflix (NFLX) and Meta (FB) struggle with user-growth headwind ... Prime subscription is still the best deal in town, even after Amazon raised the price to $139 a year. Ford Motor (F), another Club stock, missed in the quarter due to chip shortfall … I would have liked to see management execute better but the outlook for 2022 looks good—with margins up and strong cash flow ... bet against CEO Jim Farley at your own peril ... Club name NortonLifeLock (NLOK) last night said that merger with Avast could close later this month … would put them directly on a path to earn $3 per share in the next couple of years … still a cheap stock that is barely covered by analysts ... Price target cuts all around for Clorox (CLX) after they lowered their full year outlook … suboptimal ... Penn National Gaming (PENN) upgraded to hold from sell by analyst firm Loop … says the "Portnoy Risk" is priced in ... Citi upgraded Estee Lauder (EL) to buy after yesterday's strong numbers, raises PT to $374 … we got out at $360 for the Investing Club and are itching to get back in ... Qualcomm (QCOM) CEO Cristiano Amon tells a great story on Mad Money last night … how does this trade at only 16x earnings? Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY) results are in line, but they plan to buy back a ton of stock … $5 billion accelerated share repurchase agreement in the first quarter … we still prefer the higher yielding AbbVie (ABBV) and Eli Lilly (LLY), who yesterday completely de-risked its Alzheimer's franchise ...
