  • PepsiCo (PEP) reports first-quarter earnings beat — $1.29 per share versus consensus $1.23. Revenue beat: $16.2 billion versus $15.56 billion expected. Organic sales climbed 13.7% for quarter, net sales rose 9.3%. Management raises fiscal year 2022 organic revenue growth to 8% from 6%. I remember when 4% was in doubt. Frito-Lay North America organic sales rose 14%, with Doritos, Lay's, Ruffles and Cheetos all posting double-digit revenue growth. Quaker up 11%. Management expects $6.2 billion in dividends and share buybacks of $1.5 billion ... sees 2 percentage point foreign exchange headwind — really have to watch currency.
