Want to start a small business? Check out Denver

Created for T-Mobile

Denver is quietly becoming a magnet for entrepreneurs and innovation.

According to the 2015 Kauffman Index, an annual survey that digs into the state of entrepreneurship, the metro Denver area ranks No. 5 for startup activity. Indeed, entrepreneurship, nationally, is on an uptick. In 2015, the Kauffman Index found startup activity was higher for 32 out of 50 states.

At this year's Denver iCONIC event, thousands of entrepreneurs like Dana Veitch, president & owner of Kisscam.com, and Becky Zimmermann, president & CEO of the National Sports Center for the Disabled, convened in the Mile High City to network with, and learn from other startups.

According to Sudan Muhammad, president and founder of Simrae Solutions, Denver is "a very progressive small business city." He continued, "It's a community that really wants to help out, no matter what your background is, as long as you're willing to work hard for it."
