Google smartwatch months away from production: Report

Google's much-anticipated smartwatch is still months away from mass production, despite rumors that its introduction was imminent, Dow Jones reported on Tuesday.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the wire service said Google was in talks with Asian suppliers to manufacture the watch.

Dow Jones said the watch would run Google's Android operating system and be tightly integrated with Google Now, the personal assistant platform that is Google's answer to Apple's Siri.

Tech blogs have been buzzing for weeks that a Google watch might be announced as soon as this month.
