Midday movers: Delta Air Lines, Exxon Mobil & more
Take a look at some of Thursday's midday movers:
Delta Air Lines - The carrier rose after it said it expects its pretax income to jump 11 percent to $5 billion next year due to higher revenue and a $1.7 billion savings in fuel prices. United Continental Holdings, American Airlines Group, Southwest Airlines and JetBlue Airways also gained.
Exxon Mobil - The oil producer and Chevron, ConocoPhillips and Anadarko Petroleum rebounded as crude stabilized.
Urban Outfitters - The apparel maker advanced as it provided an upbeat outlook for same-store sales for the current quarter.
GoPro - The maker of wearable cameras continued to decline as Citi cautioned about increased competition.
Coca-Cola - The beverage company gained. It elected two CEOs to its board, Marc Bolland of Marks & Spence, and David Weinberg of Judd Enterprises.
Pepsico - The soda maker gained. It has started cutting jobs in Chicago as it looks to trim costs, according to the Chicago Tribune.
LendingClub - The online marketplace climbed in its market debut.
Momo - The Chinese mobile chat app rose in its market debut.
JPMorgan Chase - The bank rose. CLSA upgraded the bank to outperform from under perform.
Nielsen - The TV rating-service provider fell after it announced an offering of 20 million shares of common stock by selling stockholders.
Yum Brands - The operator of quick-service restaurants gained as StreetAccount cited dealReporter comments that 3G Capital could be targeting a Yum Brands takeover.
Prudential Financial - The bank rose after Morgan Stanley said its 2015 earnings guidance came as a positive surprise and a bit above its expectations.
