The best and worst stocks of 2014

The final bell of 2014 has rung, and if you owned airline stocks this year you're probably already smiling.

Airline stocks were the best performers in both the Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 this year, while oil stocks (not surprisingly) were some of the biggest laggards.
