Company president apologizes to mothers she judged
A female executive wrote an apology to all the mothers whose work ethic and professional value she had judged over the years.
In a piece published by Fortune, PowerToFly President Katharine Zaleski explained that she regularly questioned the occupational commitment of women who had children, but realized the error of her ways once she had her own child.

"For mothers in the workplace, it's death by a thousand cuts—and sometimes it's other women holding the knives," she wrote. "I didn't realize this—or how horrible I'd been—until five years later, when I gave birth to a daughter of my own."
Zaleski wrote that she is working to build a company that allows women with children to be "valued for their productivity and not time spent sitting in an office or at a bar bonding afterwards."
