Sharing is caring: Co-workers split $58M prize

After about five years of pooling lottery money, a group of co-workers has finally hit the jackpot, NBC New York reported.

Sixteen New York City co-workers won $58 million in the Mega Million jackpot drawn on March 24 and are now evenly splitting the cash, the station reported Thursday. (Tweet This)

After taxes, each member of the group will walk away with more than $1.65 million as net winnings total nearly $25.37 million, according to the report.

The winning ticket was purchased at Carlton Cards at 1 Penn Plaza in Manhattan.

The winning numbers were 02, 23, 32, 45, 55 and Mega Ball 12.
