Water is recalled for E. coli contamination: Report
Several brands of bottled water have been recalled due to E. coli contamination, reports NBC 4 New York. (Tweet this)
Niagara Bottling issued the recall for its water products after the contamination was discovered in a water supply on June 10. The strain of bacteria is known to cause diarrhea and nausea, among other symptoms. NBC 4 reports that the company said it has not received and complaints of injury or illness.

All water produced at the company's facilities in the Pennsylvania towns of Hamburg and Allentown between June 10 and June 18 were included in the recall. The contaminated water was sold under the following brands:
- 7-Eleven
- Acadia
- Acme
- Big Y
- Best Yet
- Morning Fresh
- Niagara
- Nature's Place
- Pricerite
- Shaw's
- Shoprite
- Superchill
- Western Beef Blue
- Wegman's
CNBC could not reach the bottling company for comment. NBC 4 reports that Niagra Bottling "is urging customers to avoid drinking the water without boiling it first. The water should be boiled for one minute and then cooled."
