Bridgewater Associates hit back at The New York Times for a story that reported a culture of "fear and intimidation" at billionaire Ray Dalio's hedge fund.

Citing former employees at the Connecticut-based firm, The Times story was titled "At the world's largest hedge fund, sex, fear and video surveillance." The story, which was picked up by CNBC.com as part of a content partnership, referenced an employee's complaint with the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, seven former employees' allegations and a filing with the National Labor Relations Board.
