TV legend Norman Lear shares the two-word philosophy that drives his productivity
Norman Lear may have just turned 94, but the iconic television writer and producer is showing no signs of slowing down.
He recently wrapped up an autobiography, was featured in a new documentary about his life — "Norman Lear: Just Another Version of You" — and has a handful of TV projects in the pipeline, including a remake of his '70s sitcom, "One Day at a Time."
Not to mention, he's a father of six.
How does he manage it all?
His secret boils down to two words, Lear told Binge and CNBC anchor Carl Quintanilla: "I think the two least considered small words in the English language may be 'over' and 'next'. When something is over, [it's] over. We're onto next."
He said the "over and next" philosophy allows him to stay present and focused.
"I live in that moment," Lear said. "I mean this is it — this is the best conversation I could possibly be having, and it took me 93 years to get here."
