Americans vaccinated against Covid-19 cannot simply return to their pre-pandemic ways of life, Dr. Scott Gottlieb told CNBC on Wednesday.

"It's not going to be like it was in 2017 and 2018, when we didn't worry at all about catching a respiratory pathogen," the former Food and Drug Administration commissioner said on "Squawk Box." "We're going to worry about it, even if we're vaccinated."
