The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield rose to 1.96% on Tuesday, with investors focused on inflation data due out later in the week.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note climbed 4 basis points to 1.96%. The yield on the 30-year Treasury bond rose nearly 4 basis point to 2.256%. Yields move inversely to prices and 1 basis point is equal to 0.01%.
