Taiwan stocks flat; HTC limit-down after Q3 net
TAIPEI, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Taiwan stocks traded flat after afall at the opening on Tuesday, while HTC
extended
losses to the maximum 7 percent allowed after posting a 79percent fall in net profit in the third quarter, missingforecasts.
By 0109 GMT, the main TAIEX index
was down 2.7points at 7,613.21, after ending down 0.97 percent in theprevious session.
Electronics shareswere flat. PC maker Quantalost 2.43 percent after it said sales slipped 5.8percent last month.Banking sharesgained 0.71 percent.The Taiwan dollarwas up by T$0.113 to trade atT$29.289.
Foreign investors were net buyers on Monday, bringing theirtotal buying to T$9 billion this month.
