KAMPALA, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Uganda's central bank said onWednesday it was in the market to sell an unspecified amount offoreign currency, a notice on Thomson Reuters said.

At 0927 GMT, the shilling traded at 2,580/2,590 tothe dollar. The Ugandan had slipped a touch against the dollaron Wednesday as greenback demand from the energy sector andcommercial banks put it under pressure, traders said.
