Twitter to Reveal Its Business Plan Soon: Founder

Social media Web site Twitter will reveal later this month how it plans to make a sustainable source of income, co-founder Biz Stone told CNBC Thursday.

While he did not reveal any specifics of the company's plan, Stone did say there is room to bring in revenue from areas other than just advertising.

"Really all we've done is half the job," Stone told CNBC in a live interview. "We've proven that Twitter is this important and relevant tool that people want to use around the world for a whole variety of reasons...but we haven't yet really built a real business around it."

Twitter has been widely criticized for its inability to find a solid revenue stream.
