Pops & Drops: Yahoo! CBS...

Following are moves you might have missed. Find out why shares of Yahoo and CBS popped while Borders and Motorola Mobility dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

Yahoo (YHOO) popped 2%. Pacific Crest upgraded the stock to ‘Outperform’ from ‘Sector Perform’. - This is all about what you think the sum of the parts is, says Brian Kelly.

CBS Corp. (CBS) popped 3%. Deutsche upgraded the stock to ‘Buy’ from ‘Hold’ and lifted its price target from $18 to $23 citing strong ad sales. - But it's a difficult business, counters Zach Karabell.

Pall Corp (PLL) popped 13%. The company said Eric Krasnoff plans to retire as chairman, president and CEO by his 60th birthday next March, or earlier if a successor is found, after 17 years with the company. - Investors took the move as a signal a takeover is more likely, says Steve Cortes.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Borders (BGP) dropped 14%. For the second time, the company said it needed to delay payments to vendors and landlords. - That's generally not good, says Joe Terranova.

Motorola Mobility (MMI) dropped 6%. UBS initiated coverage with a Hold rating and a $33 price target, saying the company’s long-term success is uncertain in a highly competitive wireless market. - I don't think it's the time to jump in, says Guy Adami.
