Andrew Lim is group chief financial officer of CapitaLand. In this role he has direct oversight of the functions of treasury, financial reporting and controls, risk management, tax and investor relations. He also looks after the administrative matters of the internal audit department of the group.
Prior to joining CapitaLand, Lim was the managing director and head of SEA Coverage Advisory and SEA Real Estate at HSBC, where he focused on M&A, equity capital markets and financial advisory work. He also oversaw end-to-end client delivery, quantitative analysis, project management, transaction documentation and negotiations, as well as deal stakeholder management. In his 12 years with HSBC, Lim handled several high-profile deals, including the 100 percent sale of APL Logistics to Kintetsu World Express, the dividend recapitalization and strategic stake sale of Universal Terminal, and OCBC's renounceable rights issue.
Lim is a Chartered Financial Analyst with a master's in business administration from the Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto. In 1994 Lim received a bachelor of commerce (economics) degree from the University of Toronto.
