CNBC Assignment Desk Internship

Ever wonder what it's like to work in a fast-paced newsroom? CNBC's Assignment Desk is seeking interns who will learn the ins and outs of what it takes to work in a breaking-news environment. No day is the same in CNBC's newsroom. This position is perfect for those who enjoy a fast-paced atmosphere and have a desire to gain experience working in many different stages of production. Assignment Desk interns will learn how to write television and digital content, produce segments at the New York Stock Exchange, pitch and write stories for CNBC.com, use the Grass Valley Stratus and Avid iNews programs and help with our social media accounts. This internship is an excellent learning experience — interns will work directly with CNBC reporters, anchors, producers, editors and photographers. Interns will also be given opportunities to go out in the field and report their own stories, including reporting on major events and courtroom trials. Interns also participate in daily editorial meetings with CNBC editors to learn about the news-making process from a 360-degrees perspective.
