Chris Maurer

Chris Maurer is an anchor and managing producer for CNBC Radio. She helped launch the radio network in 2004 and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day radio operations, as well as its long-term growth strategy.

Before moving to radio, Maurer was the show producer for CNBC's "The Al Roker Show," "Daisy Fuentes," "CNBC Talks," and "Weekend Steals and Deals." She was a producer for "Capitol Report," "The Edge," and "The CNBC/U.S. News and World Report TV Magazine Guides." She wrote and produced "Images of '93 with Chuck Scarborough" for NBC.

Prior to joining CNBC in 1991, Maurer owned "FM-TV," a television production company which produced the award winning, "It Couldn't Happen to Me," for American Express. She has also worked as a writer and producer for the syndicated program, "A Current Affair."

Her previous on-air experience includes work as an anchor and/or reporter for WTLV-TV (ABC) in Jacksonville, Fla., WMBB-TV (ABC) in Panama City, Fla., and WDVH-AM (ABC) in Gainesville, Fla. She was a freelance reporter for ABC News covering the Florida Panhandle.

During her career, she has won more than two dozen national television and writing honors including three Telly Awards, a Silver Inkwell, WorldFest Houston, International Film & TV Festival of NY, along with numerous Quasar, Questar, Mercury, and Galaxy Awards.

Maurer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Florida. She recently was featured in the university's alumni magazine for her broadcasting career achievements.
